Privacy, calmly explained

Privacy Policy

We make quiet games, and we try to keep our data habits just as quiet. Follow the stepping stones below. Each one opens with a short "in a breath" summary, followed by the details.

    Who we are

In a breathA small indie studio. Write to us any time.

Glimmer Koi Games is an independent studio that makes calm rhythm and zen games for iOS and Android: Ripple Hymn, Lantern Tide, Stillwater Garden and Moss & Metronome. This policy covers this website and those games.

For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].

  2. 2

    What we gather

In a breathVery little. No accounts, and no names unless you email us.

On this website: the site is static and has no sign-up forms. Like most web servers, ours may record standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site running and secure. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when serving them.

    In our games:

    • Game progress and settings, such as unlocked songs, rhythm scores, calm streaks in Moss & Metronome and your garden layout in Stillwater Garden. These are stored on your device.
    • Purchase records. Optional in-app purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation that a purchase happened so we can unlock the content. We never see your card details.
    • Basic diagnostics, such as crash reports and device model, if you have allowed the platform to share them with developers.
    • Emails you send us, including your address and whatever you choose to write.

Moss & Metronome's breathing sessions are tracked only as in-game streaks on your device. It is not a medical app and we do not collect health data.

  3. 3

    Why we use it

In a breathTo make the games work, fix bugs and answer you.
    • To save your progress and restore purchases you've made.
    • To find and fix crashes, and keep the rhythm timing smooth across devices.
    • To reply to your messages and support requests.
    • To keep this website secure and available.

We don't build advertising profiles, and our games don't show behavioural ads.

  4. 4

    Who else touches the water

In a breathOnly the platforms we need. We never sell your data.

We share information only with the services needed to run our games and website: the app stores (Apple and Google) for downloads, purchases and developer diagnostics, our hosting provider for this site, and Google Fonts for typography. Each handles data under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

  5. 5

    Young players

In a breathOur games are gentle, but we don't knowingly collect children's data.

Our games are suitable for a wide audience, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). Purchases go through the app store, where parents can use family and purchase-approval controls. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

  6. 6

    Your choices and rights

In a breathAsk to see or delete your data and we'll do it.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, and we will honour them.

Game data stored on your device can be removed at any time by deleting the app. You can also turn off diagnostic sharing in your device settings.

  7. 7

    How long it stays

In a breathOnly as long as it's useful.

We keep emails only as long as needed to help you, and then delete them within a reasonable period. Server logs and diagnostic reports are kept for a limited time for troubleshooting. Purchase records are kept by the app stores, and by us only as long as needed to restore your content or meet legal obligations.

  8. 8

    When this page changes

In a breathWe'll update the date at the top.

If our games or practices change, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will also add a note on our website. Continuing to use our games after an update means the new version applies.
